  Nice, quiet place to stop for a coffee after feeding the ducks at the nearby pond. Friendly staff, child friendly and nice and relaxed.

  Taxi driver told me that check in is actually a tiny (half a meter) wide desk hidden in the middle of the bar area in the Starbucks... No one can see you waiting there thanks to pillars so get anyone's attention behind the bar first. Room itself was very nice, well decorated and clean (except the mugs). No complimentary water, no sockets next to bed. These are two major bugbears for me, and I'm surprised it affects a new hotel. Very few ceiling lights, so it's quite dark in the room at night. Decent TV with good position relative to bed although I didn't have time to watch anything. Ate at Aztec hotel which is just round the corner, great food. Shower pressure was great and I was top floor. Room temperature easy to manage, electric radiator.

  Visited the attached Starbucks cafe. Friendly staff, quick and easy service. Nice quite venue for a catch up with friends.

  As most hotels go, this one isn't really that different. Apart from where they've scrimped on the dimensions. Double bed in the family room was hardly that. More like a big single and how about 2 sets of pillows for the beds rather than just splitting the existing doubles set between itself and the pull out sofa bed as you make up the room?
  Also why does there have to be a glass door (I don't care if it's frosted) between the bathroom and bedroom directly adjacent to the head of the bed. Not everyone wants to watch the silhouette of someone else taking a dump thankyou very much. You're not going to win any interior design awards so just keep it civilised like every other hotel chain and give the bathroom some degree of privacy. For over £100 for the night I'm not particularly impressed.

  We stayed in the family room disabled version which had plenty of room for a cot and the sofa bed. The wet room was useless due to a poor set up and dripping shower. The breakfast is served in Starbucks and a c voucher doesn't go very far. Parking is difficult too during the day due to visitors to the Starbucks and the park. Other than that it was clean and well built and much quieter in the week than the Aztec Spa.
